From Ground, Sky to Water: BSF Unleashes Multi-Layered Security Grid to Foil Cross-Border Terror Threats in J&K

Jammu, July 24: From the ground to the skies and now into the water. The Border Security Force (BSF) is leaving no flank unguarded as it fortifies its presence along the India-Pakistan border in Jammu and Kashmir. Following fresh intelligence inputs suggesting that Pakistan has once again reactivated several terror launchpads across the border, the BSF has sounded a high alert.

Amid inputs received, BSF Water Wing is also conducting boat patrolling in the rivers flowing toward Pakistan to ensure that if anyone tries to infiltrate from that route, it is immediately thwarted.

After massive infiltration attempts in recent months and amid the ongoing twin pilgrimages of Amarnath and Budha Amarnath, BSF is now set to deploy its first-ever 'Drone Squadron' all along the International Border from Jammu and Kashmir to Gujarat.

This strategic move is being seen as a major technological leap in India’s border defence. According to sources, Pakistan is not just using traditional infiltration routes but is also exploring the possibility of pushing terrorists with the help of drones. “These drones are capable of not just surveillance but also payload delivery, which poses a serious security challenge,” a senior officer said.

The drone squadron will be equipped with advanced surveillance capabilities, night-vision features, and real-time data relays to forward posts. These unmanned aerial assets will operate round-the-clock to monitor suspicious movement across difficult terrains and vulnerable zones, particularly in sectors that have witnessed repeated drone incursions over the past year.

This comes on the heels of Operation Sindoor, during which BSF foiled several infiltration bids and successfully targeted multiple terror launchpads across the Jammu border. The force is now integrating drone technology with ground intelligence and water patrols to create a seamless, multi-dimensional security grid.

With a volatile security atmosphere and Pakistan’s continued attempts to disturb peace in the region, BSF’s sharpened posture signals a clear message every inch of the border is being watched, and every breach will be met with swift retaliation.
