JAIPUR: Jaipur served as the backdrop for the fourth edition of the Maharana Pratap Annual Geopolitics Dialogue (MPAGD) 2025, organized by the Usanas Foundation and co-hosted by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA). The conference took place on February 14-15 and provided a platform for insightful discussions on the transitional phase of the changing world order.

The inauguration of the conference themed “Building Tomorrow: Shaping the Future” was launched by the Minister of State for External Affairs and Environment, Kirti Vardhan Singh, who lighted a lamp and formally inaugurated the Maharana Pratap Annual Geopolitical Dialogue (MPAGD) 2025. In his tribute to Maharana Pratap, Minister Singh highlighted his diplomacy and commitment to maintaining the sovereignty of the state. He also shared insights on technology, multi-polarity, mutual respect, and the role of ancient civilizations in the modern world system.

The dialogue saw the presence of Maharana Vishwaraj Singh Mewar, the 77th Maharana of Mewar. Additionally, Israel’s Ambassador, Reuven Azar emphasized the importance of strengthening bilateral relations between India and Israel and described terrorism as one of the world’s most serious issues. Armenian Ambassador to India, Mr Afyan, discussed India’s relations with Armenia across various areas, including defense, technology, trade, and education, particularly regarding student exchange programs.

Dr Anita Jain, the director of the Usanas Foundation, outlined the conference’s approach and expressed gratitude to the Ministry of External Affairs for its financial support in organizing the event. Additionally, Dr Abhinav Pandya, the founder of the Usanas Foundation, facilitated discussions on pressing global issues, including terrorism, instability in Europe, cyber diplomacy, and intensive climate change consultations. Pandya also addressed the benefits and emerging challenges of artificial intelligence. Ambassador Anil Trigunayat spoke about the growing competition among Russia, China, and the United States, as well as US President Donald Trump’s decision to withdraw from BRICS and the WTO.

The conference attracted over 30 speakers from across the globe.
