Sultan Mahmood Chaudhary, a puppet leader, facilitates terrorist activities against India, backed by Pakistan’s military.
Is this ‘Sultan’ a puppet terrorist leader of the Pakistani Army and ISI? Yes, Sultan Mahmood Chaudhary, who has been the Prime Minister and now the President of the so-called army-controlled government in Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir for nearly thirty years, not only oversees the training of terrorists but also runs campaigns against Jammu and Kashmir and the Indian government, while assisting terrorist-supporting organisations active against India in countries such as the United States and the United Kingdom. Sultan had spewed venom against India in Islamabad just a day before the terrorist attack on Indian tourists in Pahalgam, issuing a deadly warning of taking control of Jammu and Kashmir. A month earlier, during his visits to Britain and the United States, he met with leaders there, organisations funded by the Pakistani ISI, and individuals involved in anti-India protests and terrorist conspiracies. Details of his visits and press conferences are still available today. This is proof that the horrific terrorist attack in Pahalgam and the demonstrations in front of Indian embassies were being planned for several months by the army, ISI, and their mercenaries. Therefore, it is imperative that the Indian government and the army take decisive action against such terrorist elements and bases. Since 1996, Chaudhary has been arranging power politics and terrorist camps in Muzaffarabad, the capital of Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir, as an agent of the Pakistani Army and ISI. Pakistan’s President, General Pervez Musharraf, had installed him as the Prime Minister of this area as a puppet. Even after Musharraf, every army chief has continued to use him. Interestingly, in 2021, he was declared the President of the region. It was a coincidence and, to some extent, a fortunate opportunity when, during General Musharraf’s tenure in July 2000, I had the chance to meet Chaudhary in Muzaffarabad along with senior editors from India. We travelled from Islamabad to Muzaffarabad with senior journalists like Kuldeep Nayar, Inder Malhotra, Vinod Mehta, Sumit Chakraborty, and Tarun Basu. Musharraf had also attended the conference of Indian and Pakistani editors in Islamabad, which allowed us to obtain permission to travel to that area. For years, Indian journalists had been denied visas to visit Pakistan, especially to Muzaffarabad. To travel from Islamabad to Muzaffarabad, one has to pass through the tourist town of Murree. Even during British rule, the British favoured this region, and the old buildings there are still visible. However, after Murree, the condition of villages and towns along the way to Muzaffarabad was very poor, and it has only worsened over the years. The roads were in poor condition, and the people in Muzaffarabad were impoverished, with inflation steadily rising. The absurd thing was that even at that time, Chaudhary was speaking about taking control of all of Kashmir in the context of relations with China and the United States. Now, Pakistan’s current Foreign Minister has publicly admitted that, with the help of America, armed terrorists have been infiltrating Indian borders. However, what he and his government are forgetting is that now, not only America, Europe, and Russia, but even China is no longer going to support him. Indian security agencies, as well as international intelligence agencies, now possess hundreds of pieces of evidence showing Pakistan’s role in training terrorists and running their activities. In fact, the FBI of the United States had assured active cooperation with India to combat terrorism as early as 2000. In April 2000, FBI Director Louis J. Freeh visited India for three days. In recent years, India has greatly increased its coordination with the intelligence agencies of the United States, Russia, and Israel. On the issue of terrorism, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has emphasised the importance of global support for the antiterrorism campaign alongside the countries of the G20 group. China has also agreed on this issue. Meanwhile, Islamic oilproducing countries like Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, which have supported Pakistan, are now seen opposing terrorist activities to improve their strategic and economic ties with India. Pakistan’s terrorist organisations like Lashkar-e-Taiba, Jaish-e-Mohammed, Al-Badr, and Hizbul Mujahideen have been running large-scale training camps for years. The Pakistani army itself arranges funds and weapons for these groups. Under the guise of religion and employment, 15-20-year-old youths are recruited and given the title of Mujahid. These Mujahids are trained to use AK-47s, AK-56s, assault rifles, rocket-propelled grenade launchers (RPGs), and shoulder-fired Stinger missiles like army soldiers. Such trained terrorists infiltrate the Indian border. This is why India has continuously stated that Pakistan has been waging a proxy war for decades. After India suspended the Indus Water Treaty, Pakistan announced the cancellation of the Shimla Agreement. However, India has made it clear to the world that Pakistan has repeatedly violated the Shimla Agreement. From the infiltration in Kargil to the major terrorist attack in Mumbai and the attack on tourists in Pahalgam, it is evident that Pakistan has never honoured the agreement. Similarly, India has provided evidence to leaders of the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Iran, convincing them that turning youths into terrorists in the name of Islam and preparing them to kill innocent people with drugs and weapons is becoming disastrous for the entire world. Pakistan invokes religion, but it has previously massacred 2 million Muslims in East Pakistan, which is now Bangladesh. In Balochistan, the Pakistani army has killed 200,000 Muslims. The rebellion against the Pakistani army and government in Balochistan could erupt like a volcano at any time. In Muzaffarabad, there have been continuous protests against the government and the army in the last two to three years, with Kashmiris constantly demanding to become a part of India. The fire of rebellion is also flaring up in Sindh province, which is under the influence of the Bhutto family. In such a situation, Pakistan will have to deal with the preparations for the separation of its own provinces before going to war with India.
