KISHTWAR: In the wake of severe weather conditions and the recent cloudburst-triggered flash floods in parts of Kishtwar district, including the worst-hit Chosoti village in Paddar, District Police Kishtwar, in coordination with the District Administration, has issued a weather and disaster advisory to ensure public safety.

Control rooms and help desks have been activated across the district to assist citizens, devotees, and travellers, particularly those in vulnerable and remote areas. All sub-divisions have been placed on high alert, with dedicated police teams deployed to respond swiftly to emergencies caused by heavy rainfall, landslides, flash floods, or road blockages.

District Police Kishtwar has urged residents and pilgrims to remain vigilant, avoid unnecessary travel to high-risk zones, and stay in constant touch with the nearest police station in case of emergencies. The advisory also includes multiple helpline numbers for immediate assistance:
