New Delhi: In view of the Bihar assembly elections, while on one hand political parties are playing the game of pressure politics with big parties to contest on maximum number of seats, on the other hand, NDA is considering seat combination. If sources are to be believed, all the five constituent parties of NDA can do seat swapping in comparison to the last assembly elections, meaning, the party which contested the last assembly elections, can contest on another strong seat instead of that seat, discussions have started for this. Out of 243 seats, NDA can do seat swapping in about 15 to 20 assemblies in comparison to the year 2020 elections like Paliganj, Maner, Digha, Kumhrar seats etc.

Not only this, to win maximum seats this time, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) can cut the tickets of many current MLAs, whose performance is not good in the party survey.

According to sources, tickets of 20 to 30 MLAs can be cut, while BJP can field its big faces in the election fray, whether they are members of Bihar Legislative Council i.e. MLC or those who did not get a ticket in the Lok Sabha or have lost.

Such big names include Mangal Pandey, Shahnawaz Hussain, Dilip Jaiswal, Naval Kishore Yadav, Samrat Chaudhary, RK Singh, Ashwini Choubey and many other leaders who can contest elections in Bihar Assembly this time.

However, according to sources, at present there is a tussle between BJP and JDU over the role of elder brother on seat sharing in NDA, BJP wants between 101 to 105 seats, JDU wants to contest between 102 to 105 seats, whereas LJP (R) wants more than 40 seats. In such a situation, it is expected that these parties will be able to find a middle formula by 9 September 2025, but it is certain that NDA is going to contest the elections under the leadership of Nitish Kumar.
