Srinagar: In a rare and exclusive display, the Indian Army showcased a range of weapons and equipment used during Operation Sindoor, which successfully dismantled terror launchpads and foiled infiltration bids along the Line of Control (LoC) in the run-up to Independence Day.

The exhibition, held in an undisclosed location in kashmir, offered a powerful glimpse into the evolving capabilities of the Indian Army in modern warfare. With terrain-adapted gear, night-vision-enabled surveillance, and high-precision weaponry, the Army demonstrated how preparedness and innovation played a key role in neutralizing cross-border threats.

“We wanted the nation to see the strength and readiness of our troops,” a senior officer told reporters during the walkthrough. Operation Sindoor was about swift retaliation, layered defence, and proactive measures to protect our borders. The equipment displayed here played a vital role in executing that mission.

The display included artillery guns, drone surveillance systems, and advanced assault rifles like the Sig Sauer 716 and AK-203 highlighting the Army’s hybrid approach to counter-infiltration, blending old-school vigilance with cutting-edge technology.

More than just a show of strength, the event was a heartfelt tribute to the brave soldiers who stand guard at the LoC in extreme weather and under constant threat. Each piece of equipment told a story of sacrifice, precision, and an unflinching commitment to national security.

The Independence Day display served as a reminder of the challenges India’s armed forces face daily and their unwavering resolve to defend the nation silently and effectively.
