NEW DELHI: The Usanas Foundation proudly announces the launch of the Usanas Scholars Program (USP) 2024, an esteemed online certificate course on “Terrorism and Counterterrorism: Radicalisation Pathways, Finances, and Terror Groups,” starting on July 25, 2024. This program is designed for young researchers, professionals, and scholars seeking a comprehensive understanding of terrorism and counterterrorism. The USP 2024 will feature an impressive roster of experts, including Dr. Michael Rubin, Lt. Gen. Ata Hasnain, Dr. Rohan Gunratna, Dr. Michael Barak, Dr. James M. Dorsey, Vicky Nanjappa, Chris Blackburn, and Lt. Gen. Satish Dua, among others. Key sessions include “Religious Extremism and Radicalisation: Theology, Theories, and Concepts” by Dr. Michael Rubin, and “Terror Financing by Charities and Islamist Organisations” by Max Meizlish, former Enforcement officer at the US Department of Treasury. Others sessions will cover topics such as “Islamic Extremism and Radicalisation in India” by Prabha Rao, and “Indian Army’s Counter-Terror and Cross-Border Operations in Kashmir” by Lt Gen. Satish Dua. Participants will gain skills in online, archival, and field research, fostering critical thinking and analytical abilities in terrorism studies.
