Delhi is likely to witness unusually warm, early summer-like conditions on Wednesday, 18 March, 2026 with temperatures staying 22 to 34 degrees Celsius above normal for this time of year.
According to the IMD, the country is likely to experience a warmer-than-average March. In most parts of the northern and central regions, the temperatures during the day will remain between 21-36°C with some areas experiencing an increase of 2-7°C above the normal temperatures due to the lack of cloud formation and rainfall.
The western Himalayan region, which includes Jammu and Kashmir as well as Uttarakhand is likely to experience rain and snowfall between March 18 and 20. Some places may even witness heavy rain and even hail. The possibility is high in isolated places, especially in Himachal Pradesh.
