Delhi is likely to witness unusually warm, early summer-like conditions on Thursday, 18 March, 2026 with temperatures staying 19 to 26 degrees Celsius above normal for this time of year.
According to the IMD, the country is likely to experience a warmer-than-average March. In most parts of the northern and central regions, the temperatures during the day will remain between 20-36°C with some areas experiencing an increase of 1-3°C above the normal temperatures due to the lack of cloud formation and rainfall.
The IMD has issued a yellow alert for Delhi for March 18–20, warning residents about possible weather disruptions. The alert indicates light to moderate rainfall, thunderstorms and gusty winds of 30–50 kmph in the afternoons and evenings.
