Terror Associate Apprehended in Chowkibal, Huge Cache of Arms Recovered

Security forces arrest terror associate in Kralpora, recover AK-56 rifle, grenades, and over 1,000 rounds of ammunition.

Srinagar: In a major breakthrough against anti-national activities, security forces apprehended a terror associate during a joint Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) in Marsary village of Chowkibal, Kralpora.

The operation was jointly conducted by 05 PARA, 160 TA, 98 Bn CRPF, SOG Kralpora, and Police Station Kralpora following specific intelligence inputs.

The arrested individual has been identified as Wali Mohd Mir, son of Mohd Sadiq Mir, a resident of Marsary. During the search, a significant quantity of arms and ammunition was recovered, including:
– 01 AK-56 rifle  
– 03 magazines  
– 1150 rounds of AK-56 ammunition  
– 17 UBGL grenades  

Preliminary probe suggests that the individual was working as an associate for banned terror outfits and was actively involved in transporting arms to militants.

FIR No. 53/2025 has been registered at Police Station Kralpora. Further investigation is underway.
