Worldwide, there needs to be a campaign against Epsteinian crimes.
Abusing underage girls is regrettably taking place across the world. Such girls have usually been permanently scarred by the scary experience of perverts and predators getting at them. A movie star of yesteryears, who later on shifted to politics, was abused by men from the time she was not even a teenager. Worse, it was her own mother who fed her (in a manner of speaking) to the predators in exchange for cash. The experiences underwent by her in a childhood marred by abuse caused in her a lifelong fear of men, covered up as contempt and hatred. Being a man and working as her subordinate was a harrowing experience for many, for she would often shriek at them and punish them by dismissal or arbitrary transfers to locations known to be unpleasant. She in a way took revenge on the men who had preyed on her during her childhood days by being almost intolerably vindictive to men in later life. There has been much media coverage in the United Kingdom of the Epstein files, but almost no coverage even in the state broadcaster of the way in which 60,000 British girls were “groomed” by predators coming from a particular area in the northwest of the Indian subcontinent. In other words, by migrants to the UK from a corner of Pakistan known for its dominance over GHQ Rawalpindi.
Unlike in the case of Epstein, who paid for his unspeakable crimes with his own life, such “groomers” have almost always escaped punishment, with not even a court appearance, leave alone a sentencing despite ample proof of the way in which they enticed British girls of European descent into being “groomed” for exploitation. Such girls, all in their teens, were introduced to narcotics and given access only when they pleasured predators from the same small community of “grooming gangs” in the UK. However, if the British public had a right to expect the state broadcaster—kept going by taxes levied from the public—that right was denied to them. Somewhere, some had decided that unveiling the identity and provenance of the predators was to be “racially insensitive”. Such a decision flew in the face of facts and commonsense, for the broader community of the members of the “grooming gangs” were innocent of such vile deeds. By refusing to unmask the provenance of the predators, the state broadcaster was, in effect, libelling the entire community from whence this small group of predators came. That same broadcaster had devoted hours of coverage to the crimes of Jeffrey Epstein. They had covered in full the departure from Buckingham Palace of Andrew WindsorMountbatten, camera and other media crews lining the road that the disgraced former Royal had to traverse before reaching his vehicle parked by the kerb much further away than the phalanx of media persons jeering on as Mountbatten-Windsor (formerly Prince Andrew) shuffled by after being thrown out of the Royal residence by his elder brother, King Charles of the UK.
There is no doubt that a client of Epstein deserved such obloquy. In contrast, the silence about the identity of the “grooming gang” predators was disgraceful, especially from the state broadcaster of the United Kingdom. Across the world, the futures of minors are being sacrificed to predators. Many of the victims turn to narcotics or to the commercial sex trade after the “grooming gangs” have had their fill with them. Countries other than the UK have been the home of such abuse. In the “red light” districts of several large cities, unfortunate minors are on display and on offer to predators, with the police ignoring such crimes. Occasionally a few arrests are made, but these are simply headline grabbing cosmetic gestures, as the kingpins of the vile trade in demeaning the young and blighting them for life are never touched by the law, only those much lower down. It is the same with narcotics. Those running the trade in narcotics remain hidden while those lower down are caught to the glare and delight of the media. The young especially are vulnerable to the use of narcotics, and much more needs to be done by several countries to protect them by not just interdicting a few supplies but by bringing the kingpins of the narcotics trade to justice. Europe and North America are experiencing a narco epidemic afflicting the young, and promises by those in high office notwithstanding, the trade goes on. Of course, the UK public broadcasting network that is sphinx-like about the “grooming gangs” get voluble about such traffic in other countries in Europe and elsewhere.
Those guilty of what may be termed Epsteinian crimes are the same as terrorists, for in effect they terrorize the minors who are their prey. Several of the victims of Epstein have spoken out fearlessly. Those who had been exploited by being “groomed” in the UK need to come forward and do the same, to international media. Publicity of themselves and their foul deeds is the best antidote for such activities. Those lower down the chain of command should be waived of their sentence if they inform on the next higher level, and so on until the kingpins of the trade are reached. Minors need to be protected, so that they develop into model citizens rather than lapse into the status of addicts and certain trades. Worldwide, there needs to be a campaign against Epsteinian crimes, so that finally justice gets delivered to the countless victims of a trade that causes lifelong misery on those trapped into it during their early lives.
