We have to commend Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his style of administration, vision and leadership. What I admire most about Modi-ji is his perseverance and the fact that he is a finisher. Once he begins a task, he ensures that it is carried through to completion.
Because of this approach, India has moved forward and developed tremendously during Modi-ji’s tenure. The country has emerged as one of the world’s leading economies and is rapidly moving towards becoming the third-largest economy globally.
His simplicity and style of governance are truly commendable. Coming from Sri Lanka, I must admit that I feel a sense of envy when I see India being led by a strong and steady leader with a stable political foundation. We aspire to achieve in Sri Lanka what Prime Minister Modi has achieved in India, and we hope to emulate aspects of that success.
Sri Lanka is a nation with immense potential. It is a small country, but one that can achieve remarkable progress with the right vision and leadership. We also take pride in seeing India’s development because India’s rise has elevated the entire Asian region and strengthened its standing before the world.
India’s growth and success will ultimately benefit Sri Lanka as well. A powerful and inspirational India, guided by Modi-ji’s leadership, contributes positively to the region as a whole.
I wish Prime Minister Modi a long and successful career, and I hope that whatever goals and aspirations he holds for his country and its people are fulfilled.
