You give Reality to the mind. The mind and body create an identity that is so limited, attached and fearful. It projects the world and its people as “others” who are attacking you from all sides.
All this fear goes with the realisation of the mind’s falsity. All sadhanas aim to reach you somewhere. But where? The place you are trying to reach is already in you.
You identify with an imagined “I” which wants to reach somewhere, you want to become something. You are trying to remove “I” but it cannot be removed because it is “imagined” by you. So when and how does one realise? The degree of urgency to wake up will determine the time that you will wake up. So then, what is hiding the reality?
You yourself. The mind cannot exist without you granting it existence. If you remove the mind, then the one he is troubling will also have to go.
It is not the ghost that is troubling you, it is the one that has created the ghost. Just simply know that the ghost has no existence. How can it scare you? You see a ghost, what you see you cannot be. You can just “be”. The flower does not need the perfume, the perfume cannot exist without the flower. You ask “where is consciousness?”
It is more here and now than you. Peel away the cataract of this illusory identity of “I” and you will suddenly see it. What we are searching is already here. Train your attention to always focus on what is. Slowly, the fearsome world will leave no footprints in your mind. They are swept away like paintings on desert sand.
Your “I” will disappear like a signature on water. It’s a flow. No moment, whether the worst or the best, can operate on “pause”. Let go, let go.
