India opener Abhishek Sharma went all guns blazing against New Zealand in the third T20I of the five-match series in Guwahati on Sunday. The left-handed aggressive batter smashed a 14-ball fifty, second fastest by an Indian in T20Is. While Sharma fired all cylinders in the third game, he was undone for 0 in the previous clash.
Now, the youngster has opened up about his dismissal and how sitting back on his regular spot in the team bus got him among runs again. In a video posted by the BCCI, Abhishek in a conversation with Arshdeep Singh explains what exactly went wrong.
"Before the last match, I sat on some other seat in the team bus. So, you saw what happened. Kab aya, kab gaya, pata hi nahi chala," Abhishek told Arshdeep.
"Then before the third match, I returned back to my original seat. I would like to tell all the players that sit on your fixed spots and there is no need of an experiment especially during a tournament," he added.
