(SOUNDBITE) (English) ARSENAL MANAGER, MIKEL ARTETA, ON THE WIN, SAYING: “Well, first of all, well, I have to praise our players, because I think they had an incredible match against, in my opinion, the best team in Europe, and individually, we were immense to resolve all the challenges that these teams bring to the table, and after, yes, they know how hard we worked to prepare for every single game. We know that the margins are super small. We started the week really well against Spurs (Tottenham Hotspur), winning here at home. Today is another massive victory, but that's it. Now, go to home, have a nice dinner, and tomorrow morning we start to prepare for Stamford Bridge (against Chelsea).” 5. WHITE FLASH 6. (SOUNDBITE) (English) ARSENAL MANAGER, MIKEL ARTETA, ON BEING ON TOP OF THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE GROUP STAGE TABLE WITH A MAXIMUM 15 POINTS FROM FIVE MATCHES, SAYING: “Well, we've certainly been very, very consistent in the competition so far, but it's just the beginning. We are so pleased with what we've seen today, again, the energy that we created in the stadium, what the team transmits, the energy that we bring, the quality that we play with. It's incredible, and we have to maintain that, because it's still very early, and unfortunately, every three days you have to do it, and that's the beauty of it as well.” LONDON, ENGLAND, UK (NOVEMBER 26, 2025) (REUTERS – Access all) (MUTE) 7. (SOUNDBITE) (English) BAYERN MUNICH COACH, VINCENT KOMPANY, ON THE RESULT, SAYING: “Yeah, first of all, I have to congratulate the opponent, Arsenal, and I think in the end, a deserved win for them. The first half felt like we were, it felt to me like we could edge it in the first half. You can't keep a team like Arsenal without threat for an entire game, but I felt that we had many, I think, we had many reasons to go back in at half-time and think, ‘okay, if we come out in the second half and we improve a few things, we can edge it and we can bring it home’, but it didn't happen, and they came out with, I think, more purpose, more sharpness on the simple things in the game, you know, of course, they've got always the set plays to shift momentum. They use it also very well to control the momentum of a game, but at the same time, in the things we did better in the first half, we just allowed them to gain control of too many phases of play.”  11. WHITE FLASH 12. (SOUNDBITE) (English) BAYERN MUNICH COACH, VINCENT KOMPANY, ON PLAYING AGAINST ARSENAL, SAYING: “You don't go into this game thinking, ‘okay, you know what, this is their game and let's just try and defend what they've got to bring you’. You want to bring what you can bring, and I think we were able to do that in the first half, which is why I was like, ‘okay, it balances each other out’, but we weren't able to balance it out anymore in the second half. It was too much resistance rather than trying to, you know, hurt them.” STORY: Arsenal beat Bayern Munich for the first time in a decade to maintain their 100% record in this season's Champions League with a 3-1 victory sending them top of the group on Wednesday (November 26). Jurrien Timber headed Mikel Arteta's side in front from a corner after 22 minutes only for Bayern teenager Lennart Karl to equalise in style before half-time. Arsenal dominated the second half though and showed their immense squad depth as substitutes Noni Madueke and Gabriel Martinelli scored the goals to make it five wins from as many matches. It proved a quiet return to north London for prolific Bayern striker Harry Kane as his side suffered their first defeat of the season in all competitions. With Inter Milan dropping points, Arsenal are now the only team in the competition with a maximum 15 points and look all but assured of a place in the last 16.
