Arsenal Transfer latest News: Arsenal FC are reportedly exploring the options to sign Kvicha Kvaratskhelia from Paris Saint-Germain. The Gunners have roped in several new faces in this summer transfer window. However, Mikel Arteta feels he might need more attacking firepower in his champion team that is defending the Premier League title this season. Recent reports suggest that Arsenal have already contacted Kvaratskhelia’s representatives to discuss a potential January move. However, it’s yet to be seen how PSG respond to his development.
Arsenal Transfer News: Arteta Eyes January Transfer For Kvicha Kvaratskhelia
The Georgian forward has already become a key component of Luis Enrique’s PSG set-up, having played a pivotal role in their last two UEFA Champions League triumphs. In terms of importance, fans often keep Kvicha Kvaratskhelia in the same bracket as Ballon d’Or winner Ousmane Dembele.
Given his stature at PSG, Arsenal might find it difficult to convince the PSG hierarchy. As reported by David Ornstein, the Premier League side has already conveyed their plans to Kvaratskhelia’s camp. The PSG start is understood to be Arsenal’s second-priority target for the winter transfer window, following Atletico Madrid’s Julian Alvarez, whom they tried to sign this summer but failed to secure.
“Arsenal are still looking to boost their attack and Kvara is their top target followed by Alvarez. They will push for both players this January. Arsenal have informed Kvaratskhelia agent of their interest and will wait for the right time to start pushing,” Ornstein claimed.
Why PSG May Not Release Kvicha Kvaratskhelia?
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has quickly become one of Paris Saint-Germain’s most influential attacking players, combining creativity, direct running and decisive finishing from the left.
Since joining PSG in January 2025, the Georgian has delivered consistently on the biggest stage. In his first half-season, he helped PSG win the Champions League, scoring in the 5-0 final victory over Inter Milan.
Across his first 2025 calendar year, Kvaratskhelia continued to make an impact, while his first full 2025-26 campaign established him as a European star. Kvaratskhelia registered 10 goals and six assists in 16 Champions League appearances, covering 1,141 minutes. He was subsequently named UEFA Champions League Player of the Season.
