El Hammamy edged a five-game classic against fourth seed American Olivia Weaver – who is still yet to beat the Egyptian 25-year-old on the PSA tour. However, the favourite needed eight answered points to claw back the deciding game, after finding herself 9-3 down. She becomes only the fourth female player to retain the trophy, after her 11-7, 5-11, 11-9, 5-11, 11-9 victory. In the men's final, Asal was dominant in his 3-0 victory over New Zealand's Paul Coll, taking the match 11-6, 11-1, 11-4. The Egyptian last lost a game on court in October, and was imperious against world number two Coll across the 58-minute game in the glass at New York's Grand Central Station. Next up, the PSA tour arrives in Chicago, for the Platinum Level Windy City Open 2026, taking place from February 5-11. (Production: Joseph Andrews)
