Australia vs Zimbabwe 2026 ODI Series: The three-match ODI series will be an important assignment for both teams as they continue their preparations for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2027. Australia will also use the tour as an opportunity to assess its white-ball options ahead of a demanding run of fixtures in Africa.
The series will be Australia’s first bilateral ODI tour of Zimbabwe in more than a decade, adding further significance to the contest. Australia last played an ODI series in Zimbabwe in 2014 as part of a triangular series.
Australia, led by Mitchell Marsh, will enter the series with a strong squad featuring the likes of Travis Head, Cameron Green, Josh Inglis, Alex Carey, Josh Hazlewood and Adam Zampa. The inclusion of youngsters such as Cooper Connolly, Joel Davies and Oliver Peake also highlights Australia’s focus on building depth for the future.
Zimbabwe, meanwhile, will look to make the most of home conditions against the former world champions. The hosts will be particularly confident after producing a major upset against Australia in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, where Zimbabwe defeated the Australians by 23 runs in Colombo.
