Bangladesh and Sri Lanka will meet in the men’s cricket bronze-medal match at the Asian Games 2026 after falling short in their respective semifinals. Bangladesh were beaten by Pakistan by six wickets, while Sri Lanka suffered a heavy 124-run defeat against India. Indian viewers can follow the third-place clash live on the Sony Sports Network, with streaming available on SonyLIV.
Both sides will be looking to finish their campaigns on a positive note after difficult weeks in Nisshin. Bangladesh showed some fight against Pakistan, with Towhid Hridoy providing resistance with the bat, but their bowling attack struggled to defend 111 in a 13-over contest. Sri Lanka, meanwhile, were dismissed for just 45 against India after a series of costly errors, including three run-outs. Bangladesh come into the match with a stronger recent record, but the testing Nisshin conditions could make the contest much closer and give both teams plenty to play for.
