The entire tennis world knows what tonight is about, a night where the winner takes it all. At the Monte-Carlo Country Club, World No.1 Carlos Alcaraz will face World No.2 Jannik Sinner in the final of the Monte-Carlo Masters on April 12, Sunday. This will be their ninth ATP final meeting, a rivalry that has already defined the new era of tennis. Alcaraz will step in the ATP Masters 1000 final as the defending champion, looking to protect his crown. Sinner, on the other hand, is chasing his first Monte-Carlo title and continuing his incredible 2026 run. And above all, the winner will take the World No.1 ranking.

Both players have won 26 career titles each. Tonight, that deadlock will be broken. The winner will not only take the Monte-Carlo crown but also claim supremacy in total ATP titles between the two.

Whoever wins this final will rise to the World No.1 spot in Monday’s ATP rankings. There’s an almost unbelievable stat heading into this clash, across their 16 tour-level meetings, they have won exactly the same number of total points, 1,651 each. Nothing separates them.

At the moment, both Alcaraz and Sinner have spent 66 weeks at the top of men’s tennis combined, yet another tie.
