Chelsea vs Leeds United LIVE: Chelsea vs Leeds United is set to feature in the EFL Cup third-round match between two very different teams. Chelsea will try to capitalize on the advantage of playing at home and team depth to make it to the next round, while Leeds United will attempt to maintain their undefeated season and spring yet another upset in the cup.
Chelsea will go into the game looking to get their revenge from the first loss under new manager Xabi Alonso as they suffered a 2-1 defeat to Arsenal in the Premier League. Chelsea had earlier defeated Luton Town 2-0 in the second round of the Carabao Cup. With another Premier League fixture against Hull City approaching, Alonso is expected to rotate his squad while maintaining Chelsea’s push for domestic silverware.
Meanwhile, Leeds United arrive at Stamford Bridge with considerable confidence after remaining unbeaten in their domestic campaign. Daniel Farke’s side secured a 1-1 draw against Brighton in their latest Premier League outing and previously defeated Nottingham Forest 2-0 away from home in the second round of the EFL Cup. Leeds will hope their defensive organisation and transition play can trouble Chelsea.
