While the eight-year-old, who is owned by the Noel Fehily Racing Syndicate, was running on the flat, the mishap happened, causing jockey Caoilin Quinn to dismount without delay.

Although the expert veterinary professionals on site came quickly, it was decided that the kindest solution for the horse’s welfare would be euthanasia. The news was confirmed to viewers live on ITV Racing by presenter Ed Chamberlin, who described the event as a “sad postscript” to a race won by Kargese.

The clip, which has received hundreds of thousands of views on platforms such as X, depicts flat caps and pieces of furniture being thrown amid what has been described as “complete chaos. ” The Jockey Club has been approached for an official comment on the violence that coincided with Johnnywho’s rally on the racecourse.Â
