There was a major scare during Denmark’s international friendly against Ukraine on Sunday, June 7 after Danish midfielder Christian Eriksen suddenly collapsed on the pitch at Nature Energy Park in Odense. The match was immediately stopped and later called off as medical staff rushed onto the field to treat the 34-year-old.

What Happened To Christian Eriksen?
Denmark were leading Ukraine 2-1 when the incident happened late in the first half. Patrick Dorgu and Joakim Mæhle had scored for the hosts, while Eriksen was heavily involved in midfield and had earlier received a yellow card.
Without any challenge from an opponent, Eriksen suddenly went down on the pitch, leaving players and fans in shock.
