The timing couldn’t be better — or worse for Los Blancos. Just 48 hours ago reports emerged that Valverde had been hospitalised with ‘cranioencephalic trauma’ following a physical confrontation with Tchouameni at Valdebebas in a training bust-up. The club has made it clear that they do not tolerate such unprofessional behaviour and have even fined the star players.
