Jones has been linked with an exit throughout the summer, and the long-standing saga appears to have come to an end. Inter will now arrange a medical for Jones as they hope to complete the move in the coming few days.

While fans awaited confirmation, Fabrizio Romano, in a recent social media post, claimed that Curtis Jones is on his way to Inter. “Inter agree deal to sign Curtis Jones from Liverpool, here we go!” he wrote on X.
“Verbal agreement in place at €35m package fee from LFC, agreement also with the player and medical being planned next,” he added.
The reported package for Curtis Jones’ transfer is worth €35 million, which is around £30 million. Inter have already contacted the player, who has also reportedly shown a thumbs-up to the move.

Jones has been under the Italian club’s radar throughout the summer. Liverpool FC had rejected two of their earlier offers. Romano’s update suggests their persistence has finally paid off, with Jones looking forward to his new life at San Siro.
For Liverpool, selling Jones was no doubt a difficult decision as he has come through the club’s academy, eventually establishing himself in the first team.
Why is Curtis Jones leaving Liverpool?
Curtis Jones’ situation at Liverpool had become uncertain. The midfielder has less than a year remaining on his contract and had mostly warmed the bench during the last season.
His recent absence from pre-season fixtures also attracted attention. Jones missed Liverpool’s games against Leeds, Monaco and Como. Initially, a hip issue was suspected, but later reports claimed that a potential Inter Milan transfer could be the main reason for his absence from Andoni Iraola’s roster.
Inter, meanwhile, have been active in strengthening their squad this summer. The Nerazzurri have added several players, including John Stones on a free transfer, alongside Djed Spence, Manuel Akanji, Aleksandar Stankovic and Ivan Provedel.
