Along with the first look, the production team officially locked the movie’s theatrical release date. Dada: The Sourav Ganguly Story is scheduled to hit cinemas worldwide on May 14, 2027, aiming for a major holiday weekend release.
The film has been highly anticipated for years. While several big Bollywood names were initially rumored for the role, the makers finally chose National Award-winning actor Rajkummar Rao for his ability to deeply transform into real-life characters.

The biographical drama will trace Ganguly’s entire journey, starting from his early days as a young cricketer in Kolkata to becoming one of India’s most aggressive and influential captains.
