The caravan of the India’s most lucrative tournament in IPL has returned to the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi as the Delhi Capitals will face the Gujarat Titans in the 14th match on April 8, Wednesday. With rain playing spoilsport in Kolkata on Monday and the match in Guwahati on Tuesday almost getting abandoned due to showers, it is worth keeping an eye on Delhi’s current weather as well. With cloudy weather prevailing in the capital city, fans and stakeholders will keep a close eye on the climate.

Delhi weather report ahead of IPL 2026 match

With cloudy weather prevailing on Tuesday and thunderstorms appearing late in the day, close eyes are bound to hook up on Delhi’s weather. But according to Accuweather, the forecast is clear for evening with the temperature set to be at 18 degrees. Moreover, the probability of precipitation remains only 1%.

It means fans will not only get a game but can witness full 40 overs of play. Nevertheless, the groundsmen are still likely to keep the pitch covered as a precautionary measure.

Delhi Capitals and Gujarat Titans at the opposite end of the IPL 2026 points table

Having played two matches each in IPL 2026, the Capitals and Titans are at the opposite end of the points table. The Capitals started their campaign with wins over the Lucknow Super Giants and Mumbai Indians in one home and away game. Sameer Rizvi has established himself as an early contender for the Orange Cap, crafting back-to-back match-winning innings. The youngster also joined the likes of Virat Kohli, Virender Sehwag, Jacques Kallis, Jos Buttler and Ruturaj Gaikwad to secure a hat-trick of Player of the Match awards in IPL history. Hence, he will be raring to go again.

As for the Gujarat Titans, they lost in convincing fashion to the Punjab Kings in Mullanpur. The 2022 champions hosted the Rajasthan Royals at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad and fell agonizingly short by six runs while chasing 210 for victory. All eyes will be on Shubman Gill, who is set for a return after missing the game against the Royals due to muscle spasm.
