Thomas Tuchel, the manager of the England football team, has released a 35-man list for the March international break. Although England’s qualification for the June 2026 FIFA World Cup is a fact, the team will be playing friendlies as their preparation for the tournament.
The England team, the Three Lions, will play against Uruguay on March 27, and after four days, they will be up against Japan.
The eye-catching choices were Kobbie Mainoo and Harry Maguire, who were both brought back into the squad after showing well for Manchester United under Michael Carrick. James Garner of Everton FC gets his first senior call-up, while Lewis Hall and Tino Livramento are back to bolster the full-back positions, with Livramento expected to deputise for the absent Reece James. Up front, the scramble to find a partner for Harry Kane has resulted in a shock, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin being selected for the first time in five years, knocking out Ollie Watkins. The team is a combination of veteran players and young ones as England looks forward to a packed March schedule.
