The Formula 1 2026 season will get underway on March 8 with the highly anticipated Australian Grand Prix at Albert Park in Melbourne. Now, moving on from the buzz around the new rules, regulations and pre-season testing takeaways, here’s everything you need to know about booking tickets for the season opener, if you haven’t already.

As always, there has been huge demand for grandstand seats, and the Australian Grand Prix 2026 is officially sold out through primary ticket sellers.

This means the official allocation of tickets, including grandstands, Park Passes and hospitality packages, has been fully booked via the organisers. However, fans can still watch the races from the stands as there are limited options on the resale market, especially Park Passes and a few remaining tickets.

How Many Types of Tickets are there at F1 Australian Open 2026?

There are mainly three categories for the Formula One Australian Grand Prix race. Prices are based on official 2026 listings and vary depending on the location and type of access.

1. Grandstand Tickets

The Grandstand tickets offers reserved seating with clear views of corners and the start/finish straight.This time,a new Grandstand for Oscar Piastri has been introduced at the Albert Park. It is situated on the Main Straight (Drivers Left), directly opposite the pit lane, pit garages, and the McLaren garage. This location provides a prime view of the race start, finish, and podium celebrations.

Button/Clark/Vettel/Waite/Webber Grandstands: From A$565

Brabham/Jones Grandstands: From A$825

Oscar Piastri Grandstand (new in 2026): From A$1,045


2. Park Pass (General Admission)

A Park Pass is the official General Admission (GA) ticket for the Australian Grand Prix. It is the most budget-friendly way to enter the circuit and get access to all general public areas around the Albert Park Circuit, offering trackside freedom instead of a reserved seat. 

Prices:

Four-day Park Pass: From A$385

Thursday single-day pass: From A$45

Friday–Sunday single-day passes: A$90–A$210

3. Hospitality and VIP Packages

Includes premium circuit access, catering, drinks, and exclusive lounges.

Hospitality and VIP Packages at the Albert Park offer a premium, all-inclusive way to experience the race, featuring prime trackside views, gourmet dining, and exclusive "behind-the-scenes" access. Prices for these packages are expensive. 

Prices (three-day passes):

American Express Lounge: From A$6,895 per person

Other lounges and suites: A$2,325–A$5,995, depending on inclusions

When Did the Ticket Selling Start?

For the 2026 Australian Grand Prix, the official ticket sales began with an American Express Card Member pre-sale running from September 3 to September 5, 2025.

The general public sale then opened at 12:00 pm (AEST) on Wednesday, September 10, 2025. Due to overwhelming demand, organisers later announced a limited additional release of selected Grandstand and Park Pass tickets on December 11, 2025. 

Can I still get tickets for Australian Grand Prix 2026?

The Resale tickets are available. At the time of writing, the Park Passes for four days can be booked at A$380. 

Unfortunately, all the Grandstand tickets are sold out. But there are several options available in the Hospitality category but the prices are too high due to high demands.
