IPL 2026: German model and influencer LizLaz captured plenty of attention after Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) batting star Virat Kohli allegedly liked a picture of hers on Instagram amid IPL 2026. The news exploded like wildfire as the German media was equally excited about the development. Now, a social media post has claimed that the German artist has claimed that a section of journalists allegedly paid her to spread fake stories about the Indian legend.

How did LizLaz became a viral sensation after Virat Kohli allegedly liked the picture?

It was in mid-April that the development emerged about Kohli liking one of LizLaz’s old pictures. With the screenshots spreading online and Kohli enjoying millions of fans and followers worldwide, they began googling her. LizLaz, also known as Jennifer, is a German-South African travel vlogger, model and singer. She is known for her cultural storytelling and multilingual skills. LizLaz also has a considerable Indian fanbase and is widely known for ‘samosa samosa’ song. She has reportedly also learnt Hindi and has had interactions in cities like Bengaluru, Delhi and Mumbai.

Meanwhile, a social media account has claimed that LizLaz said she was allegedly paid to spread fake stories about Kohli, seemingly raising questions on the authentication of media houses in India. However, there is no authentic confirmation of such a claim from LizLaz.

Meanwhile, Kohli’s form has been inconsistent in IPL 2026, especially in the last few matches after flying high in the initial games. Notably, it is the first time since 2022 that the Delhi-born cricketer has registered consecutive ducks as the game against the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Mumbai Indians produced no runs from him.

But the reigning champions’ win over the Mumbai Indians propelled the Royal Challengers to the top of the table, ensuring they are the frontrunners to reach the top of the points table.
