FIFA World Cup 2026 Awards Winners: The FIFA World Cup 2026 came to a memorable conclusion as Spain defeated Argentina 1-0 after extra time in the final at MetLife Stadium (New York New Jersey Stadium), lifting the prestigious trophy for the second time in the nation’s history after their triumph in 2010.

Spain’s remarkable campaign was rewarded not only with the World Cup trophy but also with several of the tournament’s biggest individual honors. Midfield general Rodri was crowned the tournament’s best player, Unai Simon won the Golden Glove, while teenage defender Pau Cubarsi announced himself on the global stage by claiming the Best Young Player Award.

Argentina’s attempt to defend their crown has just ended, but Lionel Messi’s quality shone through again, winning the Silver Ball and Silver Boot. Mbappe, the France captain, added to his remarkable legacy at the World Cup by claiming the Golden Boot as the tournament’s top scorer. FIFA World Cup 2026 Champions, Runners-up & Third Place

Champions (Gold Medal): Spain
