FIFA World Cup 2026: Prince William in Opening Ceremony

Prince William, along with Nora Fatehi, will be attending the FIFA World Cup 2026 opening ceremony. The Prince of Wales will be part of a long, star-studded lineup at the Canadian opening ceremony. Reportedly, there will be three different opening ceremonies before the FIFA World Cup, one each in the USA, Canada, and Mexico.

Recently, Prince William’s love for football was pretty evident when Aston Villa won their Europa League semi-final clash against Nottingham Forest. The Villains, having lost the first leg, came back from behind and won the second leg 4-0 to qualify for their first European final after 44 years. In the dressing room, the Prince of Wales was seen celebrating with the players and raising his hands in the air. William, a Villa fan, was seen cheering from the stands during the team’s 4-0 victory over Nottingham Forest, which secured a 4-1 aggregate victory and set up a final encounter with Freiburg on May 20. Aston Villa boss Unai Emery claims that William took part in the post-match celebrations. “He was in the dressing room with the players, and with me, and of course, he is so happy as well,” Emery said.
