Senegal manager Pape Thiaw has unveiled an experienced and seasoned 26-member squad for the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2026. One of the most dangerous teams emerging from Africa, Senegal will head to the 48-member tournament with massive optimism and will look to advance more than their Round of 16 exit to England in the 2022 edition.

Senegal will also have a reason to be optimistic for lifting the CAF Africa Cup of Nations on the pitch before being stripped of the same a couple of months later. Liverpool and former Bayern Munich forward Sadio Mane remains the star attraction of the squad alongside heavyweights like Edouard Mendy (goalkeeper) and Kalidou Koulibaly (Defender). In terms of quality, along with Mane, Senegal also have the likes of Ismaila Sarr, Iliman Ndiaye, Assane Diao and Nicolas Jackson.
Forming a part of a strong midfield is also Idrissa Gueye alongside Pape Gueye and Lamine Camara. The squad also includes Habib Diarra, Pape Matar Sarr and Pathe Ciss. El Hadji Malick Diouf will complete the defenders list in the squad, with Ismail Jakobs also included. Forward Habib Diallo remains the only surprise name to be missing out supposedly due to the depth found in Senegal’s pipeline.
