At the time of writing, 70 minutes of the Quarter-Final clash have been played, and it is the runner-up from 2022 who are in the lead. Kylian Mbappe scored the opening goal to put the Atlas Lions on the back foot. Just when the African nation would have thought that they could stage a comeback from the one-goal deficit, Ousmane Dembele scored his fifth goal of the tournament to double the lead for France. If the scoreline stands, France will make it to their third semi-final in a row, having won the trophy in 2018 and finishing as runner-up in 2022 against Argentina.
