India vs England, 3rd T20I: Team India’s head coach Gautam Gambhir fired back at a reporter over a question about pacer Prince Yadav at the press conference following the third T20I against England at the Trent Bridge in Nottingham. The former left-handed batter urged the reporter not to ‘jump the gun’ after hearing praise for the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) star.

With the right-arm speedster claiming tidy figures of 4-0-30-2, including dismissing Jos Buttler off the first ball of his spell, he earned plenty of plaudits. With the reporter claiming how the 30-year-old has taken to international cricket like a duck to water, Gambhir said:
“It’s just 2 games. Don’t jump the gun. I think he has a lot to improve and I think that’s where we need to get better as well. He started off his T20 career really well, especially today, in these conditions against these batting line-up obviously, he put his hands up and performed phenomenally well. But he has a lot to improve as well.”
