Once the 2026 Cheltenham Festival is behind us, anyone interested in horse racing will probably be thinking about the biggest race on the British calendar: the Grand National.
Almost 190 years old now, the Grand National is one of the biggest events in British sport and continues to attract the interest of both casual bettors and serious race experts. And the same will happen this year.
Last year’s winner Nick Rockett, is coming back to try and win it again, while 2024 winner and last year’s second place, I Am Maximus, is the bookmakers’ favourite once again.
Confirmed jockey bookings for the Grand National:
I Am Maximus – Paul Townend
Nick Rockett – Tom Bellamy
Banbridge – J. J. Slevin
Grangeclare West – Patrick Mullins
Gerri Colombe – Jack Kennedy
Haiti Couleurs – Sean Bowen
Spillane’s Tower – Simon Torrens
