Grand National 2026: Date, Time, Horses, Odds, Favourites, How to Watch on TV Worldwide

The Grand National 2026, one of Britain’s most iconic horse racing events, takes place from April 9–11 at Aintree Racecourse. Defending champion Nick Rockett returns, while I Am Maximus leads the favourites. The main race begins at 4 p.m. BST (9:30 PM IST) on April 11 and will be broadcast on ITV1, with full event coverage available on ITVX and Racing TV.

Once the 2026 Cheltenham Festival is behind us, anyone interested in horse racing will probably be thinking about the biggest race on the British calendar: the Grand National.

Almost 190 years old now, the Grand National is one of the biggest events in British sport and continues to attract the interest of both casual bettors and serious race experts. And the same will happen this year.

Last year’s winner Nick Rockett, is coming back to try and win it again, while 2024 winner and last year’s second place, I Am Maximus, is the bookmakers’ favourite once again.

Where will the Grand National race be broadcast

The whole three-day event can be seen on ITVX and Racing TV. However, the Saturday’s Grand National race starting at 4 p.m. will be broadcast on ITV1
