RCB vs GT, IPL 2026 Final: Even as the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) won their second consecutive IPL trophy after beating the Gujarat Titans in the final at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi took away a host of individual awards. Sooryavanshi, the 15-year-old, who took away the IPL by storm, took away at least three awards, including the Orange Cap as he made his presence at the Narendra Modi Stadium during the final.

The teenage prodigy held the Orange Cap, aggregating 776 in only 16 innings at 48.50 with a hundred that came against the SunRisers Hyderabad at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. Coming into the game against the Royal Challengers in the final at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, both Shubman Gill (722) and B Sai Sudharsan (710) were firmly in the hunt to take the Orange Cap from Sooryavanshi. However, Gill managed only 10 runs before Josh Hazlewood got the Titans skipper’s wicket, while Sai Sudharsan managed only 12 until Bhuvneshwar Kumar dismissed the southpaw. The left-hander also won the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the season award with 436.5 points, holding the top spot. Additionally, he snared the Sierra Super Striker of the Season award due to his strike rate of 237.30 in 16 matches.
Sooryavanshi receive the Angel One Super Sixes of the Season award too for hitting a jaw-dropping 72 of them, surpassing Chris Gayle, who clobbered 59 in 2012. The Royals’ batting sensation clinched the Emerging Player of the Season Award. The teenage prodigy also received a car as part of the Sierra Super Striker of the Season award. Overall, he earned a mind-boggling amount of ₹55 lakh.

IPL 2026: Is Vaibhav Sooryavanshi in line for Team India debut?
Having served the fans and the fraternity with some thunderous performances in the IPL and the U19 World Cup 2026, Sooryavanshi may not be too far from getting his first cap for India. The upcoming T20I series in Ireland and England is where the 15-year-old could be unleashed by the selectors as they prepare for the next T20 World Cup. The southpaw could also be handed a cap in 50-overs international cricket to try to sneak him into the 2027 World Cup squad.
Nevertheless, for now, the youngster will savour his awards from IPL 2026.
