IPL 2026: Will MS Dhoni play another IPL match?
Meanwhile, fans have eagerly been waiting for the veteran keeper-batter’s comeback in the IPL. The legendary keeper-batter missed the first half of the season due to calf injury and was expected to return from the second week of April. While Dhoni has been keeping and batting in the nets, the management haven’t slotted him back into the side. Given Dhoni’s age, it seems unlikely he will play another IPL game.
Nevertheless, the Super Kings seem to be gaining the much-required momentum after beginning the season with three consecutive losses. With five wins and as many defeats, the five-time champions are currently placed 6th in the standings but remain in contention for a spot in the playoffs, The 2025 edition saw the Yellow Army create an unwanted record, finishing at the bottom of the points table for the first time in IPL history.
