The full schedule of the Super 8 round of the ICC T20 World Cup 2026 is finally out. The Super 8s will start with a high-octane clash between New Zealand and Pakistan in Colombo and will conclude with a game between India and the West Indies on March 1st, at the iconic Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
As Pakistan defeated Namibia in their 'do-or-die' match and became the last team to qualify for the Super-8s, the ICC revealed the full schedule for the Super 8 round. Pakistan is placed in Group 2 along with Sri Lanka, New Zealand, and England.
Pakistan became the eighth and final team to seal their Super Eight spot following their 102-run win over Namibia at Colombo on Wednesday. The Salman Ali Agha-led side, along with arch-rivals India, reached the next stage from Group A; Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe from Group B; West Indies and England from Group C; and South Africa and New Zealand from Group D, according to the ICC.
Batting first, Pakistan posted a total of 199/3, thanks to an unbeaten century from opener Sahibzada Farhan. Overcoming cramps, Farhan scored 100 off 58 balls*, hitting 11 fours and four sixes at a strike rate of 172, marking his first T20I century and only the second by a Pakistani batter in the Men's T20 World Cup.
Meanwhile, the Indian cricket team, led by Suryakumar Yadav, will kickstart their campaign in the Super 8 with a clash against South Africa at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on February 22nd. The Men in Blue are placed in Group 1 along with Zimbabwe, South Africa, and the West Indies.
In the Super 8 stage of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup, the remaining eight teams have been split into two groups of four.
Group 1: India, Zimbabwe, South Africa, and West Indies
Group 2: Sri Lanka, Pakistan, New Zealand, and England
In the Super 8 stage, all the teams will start from zero points, as no points or net run-rate from the previous round will be carried forward in this round. All the teams will play three games in their respective groups, and the top two from each group will qualify for the semi-final round. The semifinals of the T20 World Cup 2206 will take place on March 5th and March 6th. The T20 World Cup 2206 final match is scheduled to take place on March 8th.
Notably, the first semifinal match and the final match are scheduled to take place in Kolkata and Ahmedabad, respectively. However, if Pakistan manages to qualify for the final showdown, the venue of the final match will be changed to the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. The second semifinal match is scheduled to be held at the iconic Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai
