Topuria admitted he never imagined his relationship would end the way it did and described how quickly everything changed. “If I expected her to behave like she did? I don’t know, to be honest. Things happen in life. No, I didn’t expect it. It’s not easy when you go through those kind of situations,” Topuria said. “Every morning I was waking up with my daughter and my family. And it changed in one second… It’s a learning opportunity. It’s an experience. It is what it is,” he told CBS Sports. “There are always two options: to live it in a bad or good way.” He also acknowledged that the public attention surrounding the divorce made the situation harder because it involved his children. “It’s about my kids and my family,” he said.
