It is after a grand total of 968 days that the celebrated trio of Rohit, Kohli and Bumrah will play together in a 50-over international. The last time the trio played together in an ODI was the 2023 World Cup final on November 19 against Australia at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. All three players performed well in that big final but the Men in Blue were stunned by a spirited Australian side to lift the trophy for a record sixth time.
Rohit, Kohli and Bumrah did play in T20Is and Tests together. With Kohli and Rohit retiring from T20I cricket following the T20 World Cup 2024 and Tests a year later, the two batting titans haven’t played together much with Bumrah in the last one year or so.
