IND vs PAK Live Free: The Asian Games 2026 men’s cricket is set to be wrapped up with a historic showdown, with the gold-medal match featuring the continental rivals, India and Pakistan, who square off at Korogi Sports Park in Nisshin. Defending champions India want back-to-back men’s golds, while Pakistan chase a first men’s cricket title at the Games. Both teams arrive unbeaten.
India and Pakistan have previously met in World Cup groups and Asia Cup finals, but never with an Asian Games gold at stake. If rain washes the Pakistan vs India T20I clash out, the gold is shared.
India vs Pakistan Head To Head
India lead the T20I head-to-head 14-3 and have won their last six against Pakistan. Pakistan’s last win came in September 2022, an Asia Cup semi-final that Mohammad Rizwan’s 71 settled. The numbers lean heavily one way, but in an IND vs PAK contest, anything can happen.
IND vs PAK Asian Games 2026 Form
Rain has shaped the Asian Games cricket tournament this time. Both teams reached the semi-finals without a ball bowled, as their quarter-finals against Afghanistan and Hong Kong, China were abandoned. Higher seeding carried them through.
India’s first real test was the semi-final, and they passed it emphatically. Ishan Kishan’s unbeaten 80 powered India to 169/7, and Sri Lanka were then bowled out for 45. Bumrah, Axar Patel and Abhishek Sharma each took two wickets. Teenage opener Vaibhav Sooryavanshi added 38.
Pakistan’s semi-final against Bangladesh was a shortened affair. It was cut to 13 overs a side, and Bangladesh posted 111/7. Pakistan chased it down in 11.3 overs with six wickets in hand, and Abdul Samad’s unbeaten 30 off 15 balls sealed it.
The most recent meeting also favoured India. At the 2026 T20 World Cup, the Men in Blue won by 61 runs, with Kishan hitting 77 off 40 balls. India arrive with momentum and a dominant record, while Pakistan have had little game time and a lot to prove.
