Indian women's hockey team will take on Scotland in their second Pool fixture of the 2026 Women's FIH Hockey World Cup Qualifiers hosted by G.M.C. Balayogi Hockey Ground in Hyderabad. India, who are placed in Group B, kicked off their campaign with a comprehensive 4-0 triumph over Uruguay on March 8 and will lock horns against Scotland on March 9, Monday.
The top two teams from each pool will progress to the 2026 Women's FIH World Cup which will be hosted by Belgium and the Netherlands from August 14 to 30.

As far as the format of the tournament is concerned, the sixteen teams that didn't qualify for the main tournament via the continental championships will get a final chance and is divided into two competitions. The first tournament is in Chile, Santiago, while the second is in Hyderabad, India.
With every event having a pool of four teams, they play a round-robin and top two teams in each pool qualify for the semi-finals. The teams that will qualify from this tournament are winners of both semi-finals, third-placed teams and top three fourth-placed teams across the two tournaments.
