As India national cricket team gears up to take on the Sri Lanka national cricket team in a two-match Test Series in Colombo, the Sri Lanka Cricket Board has made a massive announcement. The apex cricketing body has confirmed that stadium entry will be free of cost for the spectators for these red-ball contests. The two-match Test series forms a critical component of the WTC schedule for both national sides. The opening Test match begins on August 15, 2026, at the Galle International Stadium, known for its spin-friendly pitch conditions and historic coastal fortress view. 

Following the conclusion of the first match, both teams head to Colombo to play the second and final Test from August 23 to August 27, 2026, at the Sinhalese Sports Club Ground, where spectators can fill the open grassy banks and historic stands free of charge.
