On a beautiful day in English cricket, India Women thrashed England on Saturday by 270 runs at the iconic stadium. To chase 457 runs, England were knocked out for 186. Harmanpreet Kaur took full advantage of the momentum and led the team in achieving this colossal victory that will never be forgotten.
The major role in this game was the batting of Yastika Bhatia, who scored the first Women’s Test century at Lord’s. Kranti Gaud’s fifer earned her the record of being the first Woman cricketer to get her name on the Lord’s Honours Board, before Yastika joined her.

India crushed England by an incredible 270 runs in the Women’s Test that they won the most in India’s record, second-largest only after the one they won against Australia and New Zealand respectively. England was totally out of form and couldn’t catch up with India even after England was trailing by only 115 runs in total in the first innings lead.
India, who scored 285 runs in their first batting and later decided to close at 341/7 in their second batting, asked England to chase 457 runs. The hosts, despite the valiant performances of Amy Jones and Sophie Ecclestone, were dismissed for 186 runs which sealed a new record for India’s Women in Cricket.

Kranti Gaud has created history after writing her name in cricketing history as the first female cricketer to feature in the Lord’s Test Honours Board. She did it by giving out a magnificent 5/37 performance against England in the first innings.
Her five-wicket haul shattered the English batting lineup and gave a good start for India’s memorable victory. In the end, Gaud bagged seven wickets for the match and was one of the match’s stars.
Yastika Bhatia becomes first Woman batter to enter Lord’s Honours Board
Rookie wicketkeeper-batter Yastika Bhatia made her own history by becoming only the second woman cricketer after England opener Tammy Beaumont to get a plaque on the Honours Board at the storied cricket ground of Lord’s. Bhatia smashed a magnificent 113 against New Zealand in India’s second innings to push the home team into a dominant position.
It was also a historic moment when Bhatia scored the first Test hundred by a female player at the iconic ground, Lord’s. Besides her century being the highlight of a memorable debut for a 14-year-old, it gave her an opportunity to become part of cricket history forever.
