IPL 2026: Punjab Kings (PBKS) camp have reportedly warned the duo of Yuzvendra Chahal and Arshdeep Singh ahead of the remainder of their IPL 2026 league matches. In an unverified claim via a social media account, it stated that Arshdeep has been banned from uploading any video on his official YouTube channel, while Chahal has received a warning over his recent vaping act. Punjab Kings are yet to release an official announcement on the same.

Why have Punjab Kings banned Arshdeep Singh from uploading any more videos on his YouTube channel?

The action from the franchise seemingly comes from the BCCI’s recent crackdown as they aim to prevent compromising the IPL’s integrity, including not letting unauthorized guests into the team hotel. In a seven-page guideline issued on Thursday, the BCCI Secretary stated, as quoted by NDTV:

The BCCI draws the attention of all franchises to the well-documented risks of targeted compromise and honey-trapping that pervade high-profile sporting environments. The possibility of incidents giving rise to serious legal allegations, including those under applicable laws on sexual misconduct, cannot be discounted. IPL franchise management must remain vigilant and proactive in mitigating such risks at all times.”

“The BCCI / IPL Operations Team may conduct periodic checks to assess adherence to the directives set forth in this advisory. Team managers are required to maintain records of all approved guest visits and hotel movements. Any breach of the aforementioned directives must be self-reported to the IPL Operations Team or the relevant IPL Venue Team at the earliest opportunity. The BCCI trusts that all IPL franchises will treat this advisory with the seriousness it warrants and take all necessary steps to uphold the integrity and reputation of the Indian Premier League.”

Meanwhile, Chahal was allegedly caught vaping in a viral video surfaced recently, triggering a Riyan Parag-like controversy. He has only been warned as of now.

IPL 2026: How have the Punjab Kings performed so far?

As for the Punjab Kings’ on-field performances, they won six out of their first seven games. However, they have suffered three consecutive defeats to the Rajasthan Royals, SunRisers Hyderabad and Gujarat Titans, indicating a mini slump.

They will next lock horns against the Delhi Capitals on May 11, Monday in Dharamsala.
