IPL 2026 Points Table: The IPL is in full swing right now, and there are ten teams playing: the Royal Challengers Bengaluru, the Chennai Super Kings, the Mumbai Indians, the Kolkata Knight Riders, the Sunrisers Hyderabad, the Rajasthan Royals, the Punjab Kings, the Gujarat Titans, the Lucknow Super Giants, and the Delhi Capitals. The league is one of the most competitive T20 tournaments in the world because each team has a mix of experienced international players and promising domestic players.

MI Beat GT In IPL 2026

The Mumbai Indians won their second game of the season in style, beating the Gujarat Titans by 99 runs in Ahmedabad on Monday. Gujarat was only able to score 100 runs in 15.5 overs, which was not enough to win.

Jasprit Bumrah set the tone right away by getting Sai Sudharsan out on the first ball. Hardik Pandya then got Jos Buttler out cheaply in the next over. Then, Ashwani Kumar took apart the middle order, getting four wickets, including Shubman Gill, Rahul Tewatia, Shahrukh Khan, and Rashid Khan. As things fell apart, Mitchell Santner took two wickets.

Tilak Varma led the Mumbai Indians to 199/5 earlier with an amazing 101 runs off just 45 balls, reaching his century on the last ball. He hit eight fours and seven sixes, which made his knock stand out in an otherwise average batting performance. Naman Dhir scored 45 runs, but he didn’t get to fifty.

IPL 2026 Points Table After GT vs MI

The tournament is set up like the 2023 Indian Premier League, with ten teams split into two groups during the league stage. Each team plays the other teams in its own group twice and the teams in the other group once. This makes sure that all the franchises meet and puts more emphasis on group rivalries. The top four teams move on to the playoffs after the league phase is over. The top two teams play in Qualifier 1 for a direct spot in the final. The third- and fourth-placed teams play in the Eliminator, where the loser is out of the tournament. The winner of the Eliminator then plays the loser of Qualifier 1 in Qualifier 2. The winner of this match gets the last spot in the final. Points earned decide the standings, and if there is a tie, the net run rate is used to break it. Punjab Kings are in first place right now with 11 points. Mumbai climb to 7th spot after this win.
