RCB Beat CSK In IPL 2026

Royal Challengers Bengaluru delivered a commanding all-round performance to defeat Chennai Super Kings by 43 runs at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, securing back-to-back wins in IPL 2026. Batting first, RCB racked up 250/3, driven by explosive innings from Tim David (70 off 25), Devdutt Padikkal (50 off 29), and skipper Rajat Patidar (48* off 19). Key partnerships with Phil Salt laid the foundation on a slightly sluggish surface. In response, CSK were dismissed for 207, with Sarfaraz Khan top-scoring with a quickfire fifty, but the target proved too steep.

The format of the tournament will remain the same as in the Indian Premier League 2023. Teams will be divided into two groups. Each team will play the games against the teams of the other group twice, but against the teams of the same group just once.

All teams will compete until the end of the group stage, and then the four best teams based on the points chart will make it to the playoff stage. The top two teams will need to play the Qualifier 1 game and the winner of it goes to the finals. Meanwhile, the third and the fourth teams will fight for their place in the playoff stage through the Eliminator. If a team loses this game, it will not participate further in the competition. Then, the next match will be between the winner of Eliminator and the loser of Qualifier 1. The winning team goes to the final round.

Teams are ranked based on the number of trophies won. As of now, Royal Challengers Bengaluru are at the top of the standings in regard to the net run rate.
