Wimbledon 2026: With Indian cricketing legend Virat Kohli and Tennis stalwart Novak Djokovic sharing their camaraderie over Instagram, there were also reports that the former will attend the Wimbledon 2026 semi-final, involving Jannik Sinner. With the 37-year-old now also residing in England, the chances were that he would be present for the semi-final. Is Kohli present for the big occasion?

With Shubman Gill becoming the fourth Indian captain to receive an invitation to watch Wimbledon 2026 from the prestigious Royal Box, he joined batting legend Sachin Tendulkar and his wife for the same. Tendulkar was also present for the first semi-final between Alexander Zverev and Arthur Fery alongisde West Indian batting legend Brian Lara. Nevertheless, Kohli hasn’t attended the Grand Slam semi-final and the reasons for the same are unknown.
Nevertheless, the 37-year-old has started training for the upcoming ODI series against England that gets underway on July 14 at the Edgbaston in Birmingham. Kohli missed the 50-overs leg against Afghanistan due to a hamstring tear sustained while batting in the IPL 2026 final.

With Djokovic and Kohli following one another on Instagram, the Serbian Tennis star has expressed his wish to meet the Indian cricketing legend. Speaking to Star Sports after emerging victorious in an intense battle with Felix Auger Aliassime in the quarter-final, the 39-year-old said he would love to meet Kohli and play some cricket and tennis with him. He stated:
I would love to play some cricket and tennis with Virat Kohli. I am planning to visit India in the near future and we have been communicating about it. I know Virat is a global star, but especially in India, he is incredible. I would love for him to be my host and show me around. “I have a lot of respect for him and for Indian cricket. Cricket is not big in Serbia, where I come from. But some of the people in my team are British, and they love cricket. So I have been learning about the game over the last 10 to 15 years. I still need to work on my cricketing skills. Maybe Virat can help me with my technique and bat swing. But seriously, I have great respect and admiration for him. I would love to get the chance to meet him in his home country India.”
Nevertheless, Kohli could still be seen in the Wimbledon 2026 men’s final.
