ARG vs ESP, FIFA World Cup 2026 Final: With defending champions Argentina set to lock horns against Spain in the FIFA World Cup 2026 final on July 19, Sunday at the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, the excitement among fans has reached the stratosphere. Amid this, American streamer and YouTuber IShowSpeed, an avid fan of Cristiano Ronaldo, has begged Spanish right-winger Lamine Yamal to give his all to deny Lionel Messi-led Argentina another World Cup victory.

ARG vs ESP, FIFA World Cup 2026 Final: What message has IShowSpeed sent to Lamine Yamal ahead of the decider?

The American streamer, whose real name is Darren Jason Watkins Jr, has been a constant presence in the stadiums for the 48-team tournament and is an avid fan of Cristiano Ronaldo. He had also been present at the venue for the high-voltage semi-final between Argentina and England, with the latter taking a lead in the first half itself. However, Argentina turned it around after the 85th minute, scoring two goals to set up a final with Spain. In a video surfaced on X, IShowSpeed could be heard saying with intensity:

“Lamine Yamal, brother. You have got a lot of weight on your shoulders. Lamine Yamal, this message is for you. Lock in. Don’t just play Lamine, go and win. Win against Argentina in the World Cup final. Please. Please Lamine. Save me, Lamine Yamal. Save me. Save me from this disaster. I can’t deal with this for another year. If Messi won the World Cup for another year, I don’t know what I can say as a Ronaldo fan. I can’t say anything. I can say nothing. So, Lamine Yamal. Save us Ronaldo Fans.”

ARG vs ESP, FIFA 2026 World Cup 2026 Final: How many goals has Lamine Yamal scored in this edition?

While the 19-year-old’s only goal in FIFA World Cup 2026 came against South Africa in Spain’s dominant 4-0 victory, his presence alone has made a massive difference and Yamal is a big-game player, having the ability to step up on high-voltage occasions.

Meanwhile, Spain and Argentina have faced one another only once in FIFA World Cup history and it came in the 1966 edition. The two sides locked horns in the Group stage and Argentina edged out Spain by 2-1, with Luis Artime scoring both goals for the former. Their most recent outing came in 2018 when Spain dismantled the opposition by a margin of 6-1. Both sides will be high on confidence after big wins in the semi-final.
